Papers of Fredrick Butner, attorney, and gay activist in Key West (Fla.). Collection includes personal papers, and printed material of various gay organizations. Organizations represented include the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, the National Association of Gay and Lesbian Democratic Clubs, the Human Rights Campaign Fund, the Aids Action Council, and People for the American Way. Many of these organizations are directly concerned with the AIDS epidemic in the gay community. Publications include The Front page, Gay community news, AIDS updated, Gaypaper, and The Washington blades.
